Because DeviantArt is being weird and telling me to resize everything else I was going to put up, this is all I have for now. Produced with microns and prismacolor markers, with BG and lens flare added in good ol' Photoshop 2.0.

I want to see more Utena.

:D Utena! I mean, Utena-samaaa! I really like the angle and the way you drew her face. Her expression is quite confident and hopeful--very much in character. Her hair is well-drawn, and I like the lighting on it.

I think her jacket coloring looks a little patchy. Utena's face could use a greater contrast in colors; with the lens flare it looks like there should be stronger shadows there.

I was happily surprised to see some Utena fanart on my watchlist! :rose:

I can stand up for myself and blame my scanner! I had to scan this four times before I got a version that looked anything like the original. The colors are SO nice on paper! You can't tell the black is splotched and her face has a more natural looking shadow. Stupid scanner, stupid scanner, stupid scanner... it was so pretty!

I think I'm doomed not to see all of Utena for a very, very long time. T_T It's nearly impossible to find here. I'm only part way through the Black Rose saga. *weep*

For coloring, I used prismacolor markers, and did the sky BG on Photoshop. Don't be fooled, though- the colors are far prettier in real life! My scanner is so mean to me.

I think I have a weakness for characters with pink hair...

Those are the expesnive markers, right? or am i think of something different? lol

I like a few characters with pink hair, but my all time fave would have to be Shun, lol. Your avatr of him is a little strange, yet funny as well, lol.

Yeah, they're fairly expensive. ^^; And they like to bleed a lot... but once I got used to them, I started feeling powerless without them!

Shun is just too lovable. I really have no idea what I was thinking when I made the icon, though. XD But it was cute enough to use.
