Really, I <have been drawing, just not using my sketchbook like I normally do.

The Japanese club and I recently finished the new design for the Japanese Studies board over in one of the academic halls. It was a group effort, but I feel no shame saying that I did most of the work on "Wakaba-hime", and she was by far the largest piece of art I have ever worked on. I'm quite proud of how she turned out, and will post pictures soon.

My comfort zone is definitely in smaller mediums, though. I still draw complete pictures on receipts, napkins and white wrappers while I'm airports, but I also have started drawing on index cards for fun. I have 10 completed and posted on my board right now, all fanart from anime I thoroughly enjoyed, but aren't necessarily my top favorites. Some are better than others, so I'll post them as I feel like it... if ever.

I've also been expanding my horizons (what an unoriginal term!). Why should I have to stick to anime style, huh? I'm embarrassed to say that's all I do (which is pretty much true)! So, ever few weeks I've experimented by drawing animals from reference, and have ever tried drawing a couple human faces off of reference. Not much realistic shading on those, though, I'm too scared to do that yet. XD

In conclusion, updates different from the usual "ZOMGANIMEGROUPPIC!!" stuff will come soon... when I feel like it. For now I'll be mysterious.
